Creolization in the French-Speaking Community

Welcome Back        In the textbook," Tour de Force " there are a few examples of Creolization in the French speaking community of the Caribbean. In this blog post we will look into two of these examples for the textbook.       One of the first examples is Zouk . Zouk is a music style that results from combining Haitian compas music and Beguine from Martinique . Creolization in English Speaking Caribbean Countries.

Hey, Carneisha again and I'm here with some more info on Creolization.      As we know from the previous post, creolization can be seen in many different aspects of culture, music, food, dance etc.      The first example of creolization we are going to explore from the textbook, " Tour de Force: A Musical Journey of the Caribbean,"   is Calypso. Trinidad and Tobago Calypso is explained in this text as an evolution of a mix of French Caribbean, European, African and probably Venezuelan music.
